Solution Feature
  • A novel triboelectric nanogenerator will be designed and built
  • Integration of the novel ltriboelectric nanogenerator and the hinged doors will be realized
  • Applications using the novel triboelectric nanogenerator will be developed and these applications include powering IoT electronics, low-energy building devices, etc.
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • The triboelectric nanogenerator will be tested before the trials
  • Durability tests using a simulated door will be conducted at the CityU laboratory and and power data will be monitored
  • Trials uisng a real door will be conducted and power data will be recorded
