Development of an A.I. assisted Aquabot for Detection and Mitigation of Invasive Alien Species

I&T Solution Development of an A.I. assisted Aquabot for Detection and Mitigation of Invasive Alien Species
(REF : S-1547)
Trial Project
Solution Feature
  • Silent wetland area motion platform
  • Propelling system will not tangle with vegetation or excessively damage vegetation in water
  • Deep Learning based Apple Snail eggs detection using high resolution camera
  • Aim and shoot mechanism for high pressure water jet or vegetable oil spraying
  • Real time video live feed for remote control
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • Develop a aquabot platform that carries cameras, spraying mechanism and A.I. computer
  • Train a neural network for detection of apple snail eggs
  • Deploy the aquabot into wetland to detect the occurance of apple snail eggs
  • Use water jet mechanism to physically remove the eggs and let the fall into water
  • Or use vegetable oil to isolate the eggs from oxygen
