Matched Trial Project
  • The project will begin by developing a low-cost Fiber Optical sound analytic network system. The system is specifically designed with the number of sensor unit fulfils the condition for monitoring application of escalators.
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms will be applied to study the data collected from different components of the lifts so as to devise a predictive maintenance scheme for these components and entire system.
  • Fault Simulations on escalator could be launched depends on the project schedule, hence by consolidating the correlation study on the sound collected and the escalator components fault prognosis.
  • Web-based graphical user interface (GUI) showing the real time operation condition of the lifts and their associated components based on the statistics and findings from analysing the collected data will be developed at the final stage of the project.
