  • Project target: To develop a prototype of a smart mobile robot for fogging operation, to solve the problem of heavy loading and inefficient performance of manual methods
  • Problems / challenges: The system must be able to cope with different terrains and ground conditions, such as the country parks and the city. The system must have good communication, manual control and positioning functions
  • The system can implement mosquito spray in designated areas, such as country parks, trenches and other places where water will accumulate
  • The solution being sought: Developing a smart mobile robot equipped with a multi-axis controlled mosquito spray
  • The robot shall be equipped with GPS for realize navigation and make use of vision system and remote controller to perform object detection and assist precise positioning and operation
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • Develop, design and produce a prototype of a smart mobile robot for fogging operation for killing mosquito and test the effect of mosquito spray
  • Arrange trial runs in cities (less populated areas) and country parks
  • Test automatic and manual modes for different terrain and ground conditions
  • Let operators try this prototype to improve user experience
  • Compare with traditional manual methods
