Solution Feature
  • A robot with mobile platform and robot arm to perform spraying sanitization chemical;
  • Autonomously moving around and spraying sanitization chemical on designated area;
  • Automatically scanning the environment and building 3D CAD model of the environment for sanitization planning;
  • Automatically generating paths for mobile platform moving and spraying, and simulating and verifying the paths in a computer;
  • Capable of spraying on the designated surfaces in any directions.
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • Delivering a prototype of the sanitization robot with the above functionalities;
  • Delivering a computer user interface for controlling, planning and simulating the sanitization operations;
  • A demonstration that the robot moves in the environment needing sanitizing and builds the 3D environmental model using 3D scanning;
  • A demonstration of automatically generating mobile platform moving path and spraying path for sanitization, and simulating and verifying the sanitization operation in the computer user interface;
  • A demonstration of a sanitization operation showing the robot spraying sanitization chemical on the designated surfaces with full coverage, and the robot moves in the environment avoiding all obstacles.
