  • Target to develop and UVC Bacteria Killing Robot by using 5G/4G technology to do the remote control.
  • Using UVC Robot to kill the bacteria in location with higher risk such as hospital, airport, lowering the risk for exposure in bacteria.
  • Product principle is by remote control of the UVC light (with wavelength of 270 nm) installed robot to specific location to do bacterial killing.
  • Challenge 1: Communication between the user and the robot. By using 5G/4G technology, real time video streaming can be deliver to user to control the robot.
  • Challenge 2: Coverage range of the robot. Support 360 movement with up and down extendable UVC light, so that one single robot can facilitate bacteria killing for different location.
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • Investigate the effectiveness of the 270 nm wavelength bacteria killing UVC light.
  • Gather data and survey for different locations and scenarios. Record the bacteria finding before and after using the robot for 15 minutes.
  • Testing the robot in different location to explore the suitable locations for usage.
  • Testing the movement (move forward & backward and the extendable UVC light) and controllable distance for the robot.
  • Testing the video streaming function, streaming quality and delay issue.
