Summary and Challenges The project aims to apply unmanned aerial vehicle with video analytic and RTK technology to construct a precise 3D site model to facilitate the application of drone for automatic and precise spraying of pesticides and mosquito fogging for large rural areas, or at some difficult access or unsafe working locations to enhance environmental management and hygiene control.
Expected Outcome The project aims to apply UAV, video analytic and RTK technology to provide a smart and automatic pesticide spraying and mosquito fogging solution.
Expected Trial Duration 6 months (Including procurement, installation, development, test and commissioning)

Project Deliverables The proposed drone system will provide a simple and easy way to automatically conduct survey at the site and generate a precise 3D site model for feeding to the spraying drone system. The proposed drone system will be able to utilize the 3D site model to automatically conduct precise spraying on operator's selected area to enhance efficiency and saving of pesticide dosage. The proposed drone system will be able to save labour force for pesticide fogging at large areas and enhance safety to the worker when they are required to work at some difficult access or unsafe locations.
