Summary and Challenges
  • The project aims to study the performance of window films with sun control and daylight redirecting capability.
  • The supplied window films shall be able to redirect the daylight to the indoor ceiling to improve the indoor natural illumination with daylight zone up to 8 ft into the interior for every 1 ft of treated window and reduce the heat gain to the indoor environment.
  • Site installation and measurements are required for the prototype set up to facilitate this study.
  • Laboratory certification for the window films may be required as appropriate.
Expected Outcome To develop the application strategy of sun control and daylight redirecting films to achieve environmentally friendly and high solar reflectance so as to enhance indoor natural illumination and reduce indoor temperature & energy consumption.
