Summary and Challenges
  • This Proof of Concept (POC)  project aims to develop a system to detect the running passengers in rail stations. The existing CCTV images will be fed to the System to detect running passengers.
  • The System shall be integrated with the Public Address System (PAS) to play an announcement to the passenger at the concerned area.
  • SMS shall be sent to the duty station controller for alerting and taking the necessary actions.
  • Detecting the running passenger shall include kids ages above 3-year-old child and a height of around 94cm (3 ft).
Expected Outcome
  • Deliver a solution with video analytic, edge computing and 5G technologies.
  • The solution provider shall provide all software, hardware, cabling and installation works. The accuracy of the detection shall be exceeded 80%. After the POC, all installed hardware and software will be returned to the solution provider.
  • All cables and accessories installed on-site shall be dismantled and made good by the solution provider.
