Summary and Challenges We would like to develop an AI system to count the number of times a glazed entrance door in a shopping centre of a public rental housing estate is opened and closed per day over a period of time so as to formulate an inspection and repair strategy.  The system should also inform Housing Department:
  1. The number of the counts over a specified period.
  2. Once the number of counts reaches the preset figure(s).
  3. Once the system circuit is disconnected / failure of door hinges.
Expected Outcome Provision of a counting system to record daily opening and closing of the entrance door and detect the failure of door hinge for arrangement of inspection / maintenance.
