Summary and Challenges Generally, hot work including welding, cutting, brazing, soldering processes is inevitable in E&M works. However, the hot work may arise potential fire risk at an unexpected moment if there is any unnoticed ignition source left behind at an indiscernible location. As a result, a periodic patrol to the site area will be arranged to ensure the site safety after hot work, which is undesirable.
Expected Outcome With use of system for monitoring the condition of unattended site (no matter outdoor / indoor), staff can aware of potential fire hazards before the fire outbreaks.
