Summary and Challenges
  • Adoption of ocean wave energy harvesting technology with a view to test the effectiveness of this renewable energy.
  • The ocean wave energy harvesting technology performance will be evaluated in this trial at actual sea environment and further determine whether the technology is applicable in Hong Kong.
  • The device shall be able to power different type of sensors, including but not limited to water quality sensors, water level sensors, etc., with continuous power supply.
  • The solution provider shall provide Site with actual sea environment for testing (e.g. renting of fish shed).
Expected Outcome
  • Measurement and verification on the benefits of adopting ocean wave energy harvesting technology.
