Remote Underpass Data Bridging Solution

I&T Wish Remote Underpass Data Bridging Solution
(REF : W-0495)
Matched I&T Solution
Trial Project
Summary and Challenges
  • Background & Objectives:
    • This project is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance of the underpass E&M systems which is an unmanned site.
  • Challenges:
    • The solution involves collecting data from different types of electrical and mechanical equipment which their communication protocols is different. Therefore, an agent device / software with built in all the necessary communication protocols such as HTTP(S), Modbus, BACnet and SCADA is required to unify the outgoing data format.
    • The solution may extend or replace existing localized CCMS system without the field devices replacement to bridge data to RDCC of EMSD by JSON format and on-premise server provided by this project.
Expected Outcome
  • Agent device / software:
    • An “active” device / software as agent is proposed to constantly poll and check the data of field equipment directly or indirectly through existing CCMS for 60 minutes interval. This includes typical operation data i.e. V, A, kWh and every 5 minutes interval for warning & alarm.
    • The “active” device / software passes the data to RDCC by GWIN.
  • Central server:
    • A central server is to store the data of field equipment.
  • Dashboard:
    • A dashboard is needed to provide the system status originally provided by the existing system, and the DALI lighting control status.
    • An user level configurable trending view of devices data should be provided such as, Air quality and lighting lux level index.
  • Alarm:
    • When alarm happens, it should raise by means of email, popular instant messaging apps in Android and iOS.
  • Report:
    • Device and operation related figures are needed by means of report such as downtime report.
    • Automatic E&M equipment status checking with the expected control logic and value.
    • Electricity fee prediction.
  • Control Logic:
    • Modify the existing system control logic.
  • Note: Submission without technical proposal will not be further considered.
Expected Trial Duration 9-month
