The smart reservation system is an integrated platform that facilitates the booking and management of various facilities such as carpark spaces, meeting rooms, online meeting rooms, and lactation facilities. This system leverages technology to streamline the reservation process, enhance efficiency, and provide a seamless experience for users. With the smart reservation system, users can easily book different resources for their desired time slots. The system provides an overview of available carpark/meeting rooms, their capacities, and equipment availability. The system also caters to the needs of nursing mothers, it features privacy indicators, amenities information, and reminders for scheduled sessions.

The smart reservation system addresses pain points in the traditional reservation process by streamlining and automating bookings. It eliminates the inefficiency and time-consuming nature of manual procedures, allowing users to easily reserve facilities. The system provides real-time visibility into resource availability, preventing conflicts and underutilization. It also offers a user-friendly interface for convenient information distribution, ensuring users have up-to-date details on facility availability. Key Benefits The facility management system is the first of its kind within the government and utilizes IoT technology. It offers an integrated reservation management system that allows users to book various facilities in a building. This system can serve as a model for other government departments to adopt.

The introduction of the Zoom online meeting function has significantly increased the number of participants in online meetings. Compared to traditional meetings, there has been an 80% increase in the number of people participating. Additionally, the capacity for a single event has also increased as webinars do not have a limit on the number of participants. In fact, the capacity of the webinar with the highest number of participants is 370% higher than the largest lecture hall in EMSD.

The car park booking and vacancy monitoring feature in the system has led to fewer empty car park slots. Users can easily find and book available car park slots through the SRS mobile application, reducing the chances of empty spaces. The car park booking workflow has also been simplified, replacing the traditional paper forms with a user-friendly interface in the SRS application.

There is a growing demand for Lactation Rooms in office buildings as the Hong Kong Government promotes the establishment of Breastfeeding Friendly Workplaces. Implementing a dedicated space with access control would be the ideal solution to effectively manage the usage of the room and create a breastfeeding-friendly environment in the workplace.
