Solution Feature |
- This project aims to study 2 types of window film products, Multi Optical Layers Sun Control and Daylight Redirecting Window Films. Both of them can retrofitting to existing windows (flat glass) in a building in order to save energy cost.
- A high transparent multi optical layers & non-metallic sun control window film with good solar heat insulation, high blocking rate of Ultraviolet and Infrared radiation properties.
- And a milky white daylight redirecting window film will be evaluated as well, which can redirect sunlight from windows deeper into buildings to increase natural light. Bringing natural light into building as well as reducing the need for artificial lighting - saving energy costs.
- The Multi Optical Layers Sun Control and Daylight Redirecting Window Films will be evaluated in the trial at EMSD Headquarters.
|
Trial Application and Expected Outcome |
- Use data logging devices to measure and compare average temperature reduction, maximum temperature reduction and light transmission differences in between windows with films and standard window.
- The simulation calculates the energy-saving potential of glass windows with Multi Optical Layers Sun Control and Daylight Redirecting Window Films in buildings. Research on the impact of building OTTV.
