- A real-time tram speed alert system able to work in daytime, nighttime, bad weather and in areas of high-density towers to prevent speeding.
- The system would make use of positioning system for enabling a tram to compare against the speed limits along the tram lane in database.
- Alert would be generated to tram driver when the tram speed exceeds the pre-set speed limit.
- Recording system for recording the tram location together with speed and speeding alert.
- Tram information would be repeated to the Operations Control Centre of Tramways.
