Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for Waste Collection Facilities

I&T Solution Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for Waste Collection Facilities
(REF: S-1229)
Matched I&T Wish
Trial Project
Solution Feature
  • An “Onsite IoT Data Gateway” with multiple data interfaces will be used to capture all the required onsite data from the Compacting Refuse Bins (CRBs).
  • The onsite data that must be captured includes “Bin Full Alarm”, “Compressor On Signal” and “Door Open Signal”.
  • The onsite data will be sent to the IoT Server via 4G mobile network.
  • At the IoT Server, data will be processed into alarms, line charts, reports and web interfaces.
  • The required data will also be exported to Government-wide IoT Network (GWIN).
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • It is preferred that the Main Power can be supplied from the CRB in the range of 10V-30V DC; If not, alternative power will be used. The power will be monitored to ensure Low Voltage does not happen.
  • It is preferred that the motherboard of CRB could send “Bin Full Alarm”, “Compressor On Signal” and “Door Open Signal” to the onsite IOT Data Gateway; if not, alternative IoT Sensor will be used.
  • When data is sent to the IoT Server, alarms can be sent to FEHD users by email or SMS.
  • FEHD users can also get access to the website for line charts, reports and setting up of alarms.
  • The data will be exported to GWIN through REST API or MQTT.
