AI-based Chiller Optimization for District Cooling System (DCS)

I&T Solution AI-based Chiller Optimization for District Cooling System (DCS)
(REF: S-1387)
Trial Project
Solution Feature
  • Define energy baseline period and consumption for energy savings IPMVP based measurement and verification (M&V)
  • Benchmark performance of system and equipment against past performance and industry best practices
  • Identify key factors, gaps, and issues that impact energy consumption and AI model construction
  • Plan and design deployment of an AI Data Analytics System (DAS) for DCS
  • Manage energy service and bespoke M&V plan for AI Data Analytics System to ensure actual energy savings are realized
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • Background study report on the chiller plant that includes an analysis of the historical data, energy baseline of the chiller plant and health status verification of all existing sensors
  • Supply, installation & setting up of new AI servers. Supply, installation & setting up of weather sensors and passenger flows sensing system in the Passenger Clearance Building.
  • Interface works with the existing DCS SCADA system to facilitate data collection from the system and AI-based control signal feeding for system automation
  • Setting up and optimize data model including equipment performance data, correlation analysis, accurate prediction of external factors, Reinforced learning of recommendations against energy consumption to improve ongoing ML/AI results and Provide setpoint recommendations and identify issues such as chiller fouling, low refrigerant charge, low water delta T, indoor temperatures
  • Measurement and verification report of actual energy savings & Consultancy advice report.
