AI-powered Aqua-bot for Early Detection and Rapid Response for Invasive Alien Species (IAS) in Wetland
(REF: S-1549) |
Trial Project |
|
Solution Feature |
- It includes a robust USV with a tailed-made propeller protection device to enhance its stability and reliability in complex wetland environments
- It incorporates an AI algorithm which can detect and localize egg clusters automatically, the detect results can be logged in GIS for subsequent planning and analyses
- It contains flexible and effective aiming and cleaning devices with a robust control system to automatically and efficiently remove the apple snail eggs
- It contains a fully automatic navigation and control system with a real-time communication framework for long-term and periodic wetland environment management
|
Trial Application and Expected Outcome |
- Field test would be conducted on the selected wetland area to validate the stability and reliability of the developed USV platform; the USV is expected to automatically complete the search of the whole selected area
- Field test would be conducted on the selected wetland area to validate the accuracy of the AI detection algorithm; The AI detection accuracy is expected to be improved to 95% or higher
- Field test would be conducted on the selected wetland area to validate the effectiveness of removing apple snail eggs; The cleaning device’s key parameters are expected to robustly controlled by coordinating the USV, aiming device and water jet to achieve a precise removal task
