Solution Feature
  • We're developing an ontology, termed "federated model", using Revit and Dynamo tools to standardize and manage BIM and external data, automating RDF data generation and knowledge graph construction.
  • Our model incorporates libraries for basic BIM info, customizable BIM MEP model from BMS, and external sensor data, automating metadata linkage to RDF data.
  • We're maintaining bidirectional links between BIM source and BRICK-based RDF data for efficient mapping and updating between these two frameworks.
  • A convenient Revit add-in is being developed in Dynamo for fast task execution, allowing prompt editing and review of a building's BRICK model.
  • The BRICK model's Turtle file will be loaded into BrickStudio for a graphical representation, facilitating searching, querying, and applications like online back-tracing.
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • In the first 3 months, we will perform preliminary analysis of existing BIM data, BMS, and external sources, and construct base libraries for models.
  • In the second 3 months, we will develop a methodology and tools to automate RDF data generation and integrated knowledge graph construction.
  • In the third 3 months, we will develop functions for searching and querying BRICK data and demonstrate its usefulness in further applications.
