- A smartphone application that can achieve positioning with 2-4 meter accuracy in indoor environment using wireless signals (including but not limited to Wi-Fi), on-devices sensors and machine learning techniques
- A smartphone application that can help users to search and navigate to selected point-of-interests by showing paths and real-time navigation
- A cloud-based backend to process and record the raw data and positions of smartphones
- A web-based system that can visualize the live positioning and past records of smartphones

| Trial Application and Expected Outcome |
- A digital indoor map will be produced. The digital map will support different layers, point-of-interests, way-finding and navigation.
- An iOS and Android mobile application will be built to scan wireless signals and other sensors data to build a sensor data fusion database. The digital map can also be displayed directly on the mobile application.
- A backend application will be built to process data collected on the smartphones and record in a database.
- A web-based system that can visualize the live positioning and past records of smartphones, and manage smartphones (users), maps and point-of-interests. The digital map can also be displayed directly on the web application.
- Mobile SDKs for iOS and Android will be built, with the features of data collection, calculation and map display, for further development.
