(REF: S-1492) |
Trial Project |
|
Solution Feature |
- Total solution for AI Intelligent Control and Optimization of AC System. The solution includes both hardware (Edge Server and IoT Gateway) as well as software (central platform for operational purposes) and can be deployed as a standalone system.
- Aside from using AI, it also includes system modelling verification to help further fine tune AI results to ensure they are mechanically sound.
- AI Platform is highly expandable from applying to 1 equipment for initial testing to a cluster or full system. Can cater both Water and Air side.
- Can be integrated into existing BMS or if no BMS present, independent equipment can directly connect to the platform for data logging and control optimization.
- Platform is highly customizable and user friendly. It provides extensive functions and features from monitoring and controlling equipment, receiving predicted fault alerts to generating detailed energy consumption reports of the system.

Trial Application and Expected Outcome |
- The AHU will first need to be digitized by linking the IO points to the central AI platform for data logging as well as performing controls remotely on the platform.
- In order to optimize the AHU, additional data such as temperature of cooling zone, usage pattern, outdoor temperature as well as air flow of the AHU is needed in order to determine the intensity of the blower or damper opening. This may require the installation of additional sensors.
- Once all the necessary data is made available on the AI platform, the various algorithms can be applied and an optimal AI model established for use.
- The AI model will be tweaked based on the constant data fed into the system and as a result, the control parameters and setpoints will also be updated on a regular basis to reflect the actual cooling demand as well as the changing external environment.
- By adjusting the output of the AHU to fit the actual cooling demand along with the changing external conditions such as outdoor temperature or chilled water temperature, the AHU will be running more efficient and reduce excess energy consumption.
