Trial Application and Expected Outcome |
- Install cameras and define track lines on the spiral driveway as checkpoints visible to camera angle
- Operate a vehicle down the driveway and record the time to obtain the ratio of vehicle speed and checkpoints-crossing time difference, deducing the speed-time relationship
- Measure the time differences of the vehicle crossing the track lines to deduce instantaneous vehicle speed
- Transfer the vehicle speed data to a real-time speed display monitor as an alert to drivers
- Record license plate information from videos taken by camera using computer vision
