I&T Solution Fleet Monitoring System for Vessels
(REF: S-0172)
Matched I&T Wish
Trial Project
Solution Feature
  • PLC proposed installed in the engine room of the vessel. Hard wired to the control panels of the Bilge Pump,Fire Pump, Comminute Pump and Ventilation Fan via DI.
  • The engine information is currently displayed on a KCMII4913983 engine meter. its is lacks any outputs to connect to the PLC and proposed to connect via the RS485.
  • The current generators on board are two numbers of Kohler 25EFOZD. These should be fitted with a SAE J-1939 CANbus output (to be confirmed by the MD)
  • Ideally GPS data should be collected using NMEA0183. If this is not possible then we will include our own GPS unit in the PLC.
  • The PLC will upload data to HMI when within 4G coverage and buffer the data when not within range. Stored in an SQL database for access. Reports can also be built to show statistical data
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • If there is a full set spare equipment in workshop and to be able to run in the workshop, it is possible to setup a prototype connecting all field equipment by high level signal.
  • Otherwise, prototype can installed in a selected vessel which all equipment information including high level information is provided.
