Solution Feature
  • A health management system for chilled seawater pumps is developed, including functions such as condition monitoring, anomaly detection, fault identification, fault prediction and risk assessment.
  • This system includes sensors, intelligent wireless gateway, and cloud software platform.
  • Based on multiple sources of historical data, artificial intelligent fault diagnosis models of chilled seawater pumps are established to accurately diagnose and predict equipment failures.
  • Intelligent fault diagnosis algorithms are deployed on the intelligent gateway to ensure real-time diagnosis.
  • The cloud platform is used to store historical data, which can be visualized and statistically analyzed. The system assists maintenance personnel in carrying out predictive maintenance.
Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • Magnetic three-way accelerometers, microphones, flow, pressure, and temperature sensors are developed, which do not change the existing structure. These sensors collect operational status information of seawater pumps.
  • Intelligent wireless gateways are developed which are placed on the pumps end. The lightweight intelligent diagnostic algorithms are operated on the intelligent gateway. The real-time diagnostic results are calculated by the intelligent gateway and sent to the cloud platform.
  • This project will develop a series of intelligent algorithms for seawater pump fault detection, including anomaly detection, fault diagnosis, fault prediction, and other algorithms.
  • Intelligent diagnostic algorithms will continuously update and train on the cloud platform. The new lightweight models will be redeployed on wireless gateways.
  • The system developed in this project will become more accurate in the fault diagnosis with the more historical data are obtained in the operation of seawater pumps.
