Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • Design for a tracked robot chassis with standing poles, scissor lifting pole and multi-axis robot arm, attaching with trimming tools
  • To integrate EDM device for 3D environment scanning and feedback to robot forming 3D mapping
  • Robot perform tree branch identification and diameter measurement using 3D scanning results
  • Robot perform environment analysis and prioritize trimming sequence
  • Operator can view the real-time trimming process through a tablet computer, including video image and trimming information
