- Users can take photos of vehicle parts and input relevant information using mobile devices to obtain the part’s name, stock level and relevant part’s information through image recognition technology.

| Trial Application and Expected Outcome |
- An online platform and mobile application (iOS) that can accurately identify the vehicle parts using image recognition technology (even if the parts have been already installed on the vehicle) to perform searching and instantly return the parts information.
- Automatically recognise the part’s features, barcodes and characters marked on the parts to populate the system database
- Utilise the online resources to improve the accuracy of parts recognition and supplement the additional product information for user reference
- Provide a workstation with multi-angle camera(s) to capture standardized photos of vehicle parts, in term of size and angle, for creating a high-quality image library for AI model training and validation
- Automatically generate email and SMS templates with part numbers, specifications and required quantities to potential contractors, while supporting users to revise the content for the template
