Trial Application and Expected Outcome
  • Complete the R&D of a hardware device
  • The system should be able to operate semi-automatically via remote control
  • Perform functional integrity testing in the laboratory, including but not limited to power supply, component replacement, climbing, pruning, and remote monitoring
  • Under the protection of safety measures, the robot is tested in a real environment to climb trees and cut branches and leaves, and its safety performance is also tested
  • Based on the test results, the hardware and software were iterated to eventually achieve a single climb that could cut all the dead tree trunks
