Trial Project
Solution Feature	A vertical take-off fixed wing drone will be used to provide stable, long-range & automated data collection. The fixed wing drone will have individually rotated rotors to ensure flight stability in windy environment (e.g. Coastal Park). The fixed wing drone will have visual and thermal cameras for sea mammals detection. Development of AI model for dolphin/whale detection and classification based on visual and thermal images. Huge image dataset will be collected for manual mammal identification, target object tagging for AI training and inference.
Trial Application and Expected Outcome	A pilot site can be selected from one of the reserve area in Hong Kong for image dataset collection and PoC area. Test flight for Vertical take-off fixed wing drone in the selected area to ensure durability and stability. Collect image data via this fixed wing drone and validate the accuracy of the developed AI Model. Once the fixed wing drone and AI model have been validated, the same system can be deployed to other marine reserve and/or parks for full scale deployment..
