| Solution Feature |
- A vertical take-off fixed wing drone will be used to provide stable, long-range & automated data collection.
- The fixed wing drone will have individually rotated rotors to ensure flight stability in windy environment (e.g. Coastal Park).
- The fixed wing drone will have visual and thermal cameras for sea mammals detection.
- Development of AI model for dolphin/whale detection and classification based on visual and thermal images.
- Huge image dataset will be collected for manual mammal identification, target object tagging for AI training and inference.

| Trial Application and Expected Outcome |
- A pilot site can be selected from one of the reserve area in Hong Kong for image dataset collection and PoC area.
- Test flight for Vertical take-off fixed wing drone in the selected area to ensure durability and stability.
- Collect image data via this fixed wing drone and validate the accuracy of the developed AI Model.
- Once the fixed wing drone and AI model have been validated, the same system can be deployed to other marine reserve and/or parks for full scale deployment..
