- Measuring body temperature is now a must at crowded areas. However, devices lack agility and require staff to operate by hand. This puts them in risk of infection.
- Goal: develop a device which can move around freely and do temperature measurement for front-line staff temperature, alert staff in presence of people with fever, and keep record of the patient and those who are nearby for tracking.
- Solution: a smart robot which has the following functions: continuously identify feverish patients, transmit images of feverish patients to control office deliver health information, auto mode and avatar mode switching
- The robot includes facial recognition technology, which makes the system set off the alarm only when it senses human faces with high temperature.
- The robot can record the surveillance route. Users can set the desired time, place and route for the robot to monitor body temperature, and it will move around automatically.

Trial Application and Expected Outcome |
- Staff can control the robot at a remote distance using software or mobile applications, minimizing human contact.
- The robot can continuously detect body temperature for long periods of time with high accuracy.
- The system can instantly issue alert and track the person with fever.
- The robot is compatible with Wifi, 4G and 5G networks.
- The robot can take photos and record information of the person with fever and close contacts within 3 meters for tracking.
