Summary and Challenges

The project aims to apply new technology, IoT and big data analysis to collect and analyse data on tenants' actual operational status and provide valuable information for new development / renovation of public markets.

Wireless equipment would be adopted as much as possible to reduce the required manpower resources and installation time, hence minimising the disturbance to the normal operation of the market.

Data about tenants' actual operational status would be analysed for the layout planning of stalls and passages in public markets in future renovations or new developments.
