Summary and Challenges

EMSD is looking for a platform that allows users to import data from BIM models for operation and maintenance services.

The platform should facilitate and streamline the processes of data input, verification and compliance check against the EMSD BIM-AM Standards and Guidelines.

BIM open standards, including COBie and COBieLite, should be adopted for data exchange with BIM models and different BIM-AM systems.

Various user-friendly features should be developed with reference to the department's existing tool, Asset Information Input Tool (AIIT), for enhancing data input and verification efficiency.

An enhanced visualisation tool should be developed for rapid and intuitive creation of system topology.
