Monitoring Lift Aging Equipment through Data Analytics
(REF : W-0162)
Matched I&T Solution
Trial Project
Summary and Challenges
There are lots of electric and hydraulic lifts in public premises. Large amounts of sensor data and maintenance records were generated, but only a small portion of information be useful for rigorous analysis for fault diagnosis and residual-life estimation. In addition, non-destructive inspection methods shall be developed for detecting the sub-surface defects on some critical safety equipment such as suspension rope, safety gear, over-speed governor and rope gripper.
Expected Outcome
To explore the use of I&T solutions to help monitor the residual useful life and aging conditions for essential safety equipments in lifts.
Expected Trial Duration
9 months
