Summary and Challenges

The objective of the project is:-

  1. To design a device for real time internal visual inspection for LPG tank (cylindrical in shape, approx. 5m long) without manhole access, but with inspection hole sized about 100mm in diameter at the dish-end. The device may also be used for checking pipe internal surface.
  2. To record/take high-definition videos and photos inside the LPG tank/pipe
  3. The device should be capable to move steadily by manual control, such that every corners inside LPG tank could be inspected
