Summary and Challenges
This project aims to develop a prototype of an automatic drone-based inspection system with image processing function in order to replace the current practice to operate drones and inspect manually for the deteriorating conditions of boundary fencing and detecting anomaly objects at roof-tops of buildings for prison. The subject automatic inspection system will be evaluated in the trial at a pilot local correctional institution.
Expected Outcome
A prototype of drone-based inspection system shall be designed, developed, constructed, tested and commissioned with appropriate types of cameras, back-end imaging processing unit and analytic servers
