Trial Project
Summary and Challenges

While Electric Vehicle (EV) become more popular, handling of retried EV battery is a challenge. When batteries' service life time ends at EV application, their remaining capacity would remain 60%~80% which might be suitable for the other application. Also, those retired EV batteries contain some chemical waste which might produce pollution. In order to reduce pollution to the environment, it would be intended to extend their service life time in other applications.  Electricity supply is essential to modern city. Considering some buildings do not offer emergency electricity supply for non-Fire Services Installations, Some of critical services, such as clinical services, temporary Shelter and etc would be affected during electricity power interruption.  Construction site, temporary venues for events and etc. might require setting up electricity power. Nowadays, they might need to deploy small diesel generators to support their activities. However, diesel generators would produce air pollution and noise issues.   This project is to dismantle, analyze & repack retired EV batteries to fabricate mobile power supply in flexible size and capacity for providing electricity supply temporarily

Expected Outcome

1) Mobile Power Hub
2) 15set of repacked Retired EV battery (~65Ah each)

Expected Trial Duration 12 months
