Design and Install Predictive Maintenance System for Lifts (REF: W-0304)
Matched I&T Solution
Trial Project
Summary and Challenges
Optical fiber sensing is an innovative solution for lift monitoring. In EMSD, we have implemented a trial project on using fiber Bragg grating sensors to retrieve the conditions of critical lift components. In this project, we target to deliver a predictive maintenance solution for lifts using big data and artificial intelligence technologies.
Expected Outcome
Install health monitoring platform for 60 nos. of lifts using optical fibre sensing technology
Continuous data collection and monitoring during the project period
Predictive maintenance on critical lift components, including (but not limited to) traction machine, steel ropes, brake arms, door lock based on artificial intelligence technologies
A real-time monitoring system with graphical user interface
Quarterly progress reports on the comparison between the predicted lift conditions and the actual lift usage
Liaison with lift maintenance contractor for resolving abnormal activities observed
Expected Trial Duration
12 months
