Summary and Challenges Sludge containers are exposed to sunlight when loading to sludge vessel and being transported from Stonecutters Island Sewage Treatment Works to EPD's Sludge Treatment Facilities. The project aims to control the temperature of sludge containers and thereby reduce H2S formation caused by high temperature.
Expected Outcome To adopt temperature control measures for cooling the sludge containers and thus lower the H2S formation from dewatered sludge.
Expected Trial Duration Trial for 12 months after installation
