Summary and Challenges
Adoption of the regenerative gas-phase air filtering unit with a view to achieve energy saving by reducing the amount of fresh air intake but maintaining/ improving the indoor air quality.
The regenerative gas-phase air filtering unit shall remove indoor pollutants in the conditioned space, including but not limited to CO, CO2, VOCs and formaldehyde. The filtering media shall have the capability to be automatically regenerated, whereas the filtering unit shall comply with ASHARE Standard 145.2-2011.
The trial shall include all associated construction works and builder’s works and an assessment to study the energy reduction from implementation of this new technology.
