Aboveground Gas Pipes Health Condition Analysis
I&T Wish
Aboveground Gas Pipes Health Condition Analysis (REF: W-0353)
Matched I&T Solution
Trial Project
Summary and Challenges
The project aims to identify the contributing factors and associated possible correlations amongst various factors that can affect the aboveground gas pipe health condition.
By applying big data analytics technology with AI algorithms, the service provider will analyze a large amount of relevant information and data obtained from past incidents and maintenance records.
From the analysis results, a health indicator for aboveground gas pipes will be established to predict and evaluate gas pipes operating conditions for buildings.
The Gas Authority can then liaise with the gas supply companies to enhance monitoring of the gas pipe condition and formulate preventive measures to upkeep the safety operation on risk basis approach.
Thus the potential risk of gas leakage from the gas pipes that may lead to gas safety concern can be minimized.
Expected Outcome
Perform data mining from raw data (both structure and unstructured) which is provided by the client;
Transform data to improve outcomes and develop a database;
Perform analysis using big data analytic software with AI algorithms and identify the contributing factors and the associated correlations that may affect the health condition of the gas pipes;
Establish the health indicator of the gas pipes to assist in prioritization of appropriate monitoring actions and preventive measures for ensuring gas safety to the public.
Expected Trial Duration
8-month
