Summary and Challenges To provide convenient and efficient means to the public for queuing Government Service before heading to the government venue. This will reduce the chance of crowd gathering, hence, the spread of diseases. This will also save time of the public.
Expected Outcome The system should be able to effectively control the number of people in the venue. It should base on the big data to calculate/predict the waiting time, and inform the ticket holder by push notification/SMS. User can enquire the queuing status through mobile apps. The system should not only be able to handle regular Government Services, but also be flexible to handle various size of events, such as Lunar New Year Flower Market that all HongKongers can pick up a e-ticket for the same market at the same time. The system could also estimate the average time of a person staying in the venue and support the online booking functions such that end user can reserve a specific timeslot for entering the venue.
