Summary and Challenges The smart dimming window films shall attain the following features:
  1. Automatic continuous clarity changing window films to suit the outdoor lux level. The objective is to achieve energy saving by reducing the solar heat gain, but maintaining sufficient indoor lux level at the working plane.
  2. The films and associated control shall be designed to allow user adjustment in meeting their preference.
  3. The installation of the films shall not cause damage to the existing window.
  4. Single point manual control on multi-films shall be applicable.
Expected Outcome Measurement and verification on the benefits of installation of smart dimming window film.
