Summary and Challenges
  • At idle state, the robots move themselves to entry and act as a road block. Without losing the mobility, they are durable for impact event. They are equipped with AI to identify authorized passages and cars, proceed entry registration and basic communications with visitors. When they detect the visitors, they change to active state and start positioning to conduct the tasks.
  • At cruise state, the robots patrol around the plants for surveillance. Their high technology outlook should impress all visitors at first sight. With loading different applications software, the robots can do various task in the plants including leading exhibition tour.
Expected Outcome To develop a robot with AI technology for security and public relations in sewage treatment facilities. The robot aims to:
  1. Identify authorised vehicles, proceed entry registration and interact/communicate with visitors
  2. Possess high technology outlook to impress visitors at first sight
  3. Lead visitors to designated places and lead exhibition tours
