Delivery Robot for Domestic Waste Collection (REF: W-0396)

Trial Project
Summary and Challenges
Currently, the collection and removal of domestic waste from residential flats were operated manually by responsible staff.
Manual collection and removal of domestic waste may evoke the chance of cross-infection of responsible staff.
To minimize the potential health threat to staff, a delivery robot could be deployed to assist the daily job of collecting and removing the domestic waste of residents.
Expected Outcome
A delivery robot for collecting domestic waste from each residential flat.
The movement of the robot could be remote controlled by an operator using a control app/device, such that the operator does not need to contact the domestic waste throughout the whole process.
It would be preferable if robotic arm is adopted for collecting domestic waste from position as-low-as 10cm from the floor level.
The robot with 5G network is very much preferred such that the operator could control the operation off-site.
Expected Trial Duration
6-month
