Summary and Challenges

The project aims to facilitate building performance analysis in existing buildings in which BMS data are inaccurate or missing.

With the help of LoRaWAN network, wireless IoT sensors, e.g. temperature sensors, flowmeters, power meters, pressure sensor, repeater of actuator signal, will be installed and act as a stand-alone system to evaluate system performance.

The scope of project should include the development and installation of a set of IoT wireless sensors and gateway, which are essential for E&M system analysis. Data collected from the IoT sensors will be temporarily stored on a cloud platform to facilitate the system performance diagnosis.
