Summary and Challenges
  • This project aims to develop Speed Tester with chassis speedometer / dynamometer for measuring acceleration, travel distance, speed and output power of EMD, including electric scooters, electric hoverboards, electric bicycles, electric tricycles, pedelecs and e-skateboard.
  • Adjustable frame or necessary fixture to fix the EMD, fixture or setup to simulate pedaling action and/or activate the power assisted devices is required.
Expected Outcome

The Speed Tester system shall be designed, developed, constructed, tested and commissioned with appropriate frame and fixture and speedometer / dynameter chassis with equivalent 57kg inertia for acceleration simulation for different types of EMD with agreed reasonable accuracy.
