Summary and Challenges We would like to explore the use of iris recognition technology for the staff access control system at EMSD Headquarters, and to provide greater convenience for staff and enhance people flow at peak hours.
Expected Outcome This project aims to enhance the staff access control system with iris recognition to achieve convenience and efficiency for managing people flow during peak hours. The proposal shall include the device brand, technical details, and meet the minimum requirement as below.
  1. Compliance with International Photobiological Safety Standard IEC62471 or equivalent
  2. Work in Standalone mode or in interconnected mode via network connection
  3. Capable in registering over 2000 users in standalone mode
  4. Remind user to have proper verification distance for successful iris identification
  5. Able to identify and analyze iris image even if wearing glasses and face masks
  6. Integrate with existing or third party access control system
