Summary and Challenges
In order to suit the changes in Government Fleet Management and service demands, this project aims to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Technology to have a more reliable and accurate prediction on vehicles’ spare parts inventory.
The solution shall be able to analyze the data in existing Corporate Computer System (CCS) (SAP ERP) and propose the intelligent procurement plans in accordance to Store Procurement Regulation.
Expected Outcome
Achieve data correlation among vehicle models, types and frequency of maintenance activities, replacement of spare parts, etc. using AI and ML.
Employ just-in-time (JIT) procurement strategy to improve the inventory turnover rate and minimize the inventory hoarding in the warehouse. This could avoid shortage of spare parts to repair the vehicles.
Enhance the operation efficiency on spare parts procurement and planning by forecasting the demands of different spare parts.
