Summary and Challenges
  • Some inaccessible areas such as inside pipe ducts or potential unsafe location, the operator should remain in a safe location and large robot / drone cannot go inside direct. A durable handheld robot can be effectively rolled or throwed close to an environment, providing two-way communications and surveillance.
Expected Outcome
  1. Balled-type rolling robot should be autonomous or control through Cloud, compact in handheld size, shock resistance, industrial grade durable, withstand drops - IP65 or above, can roll on surface or water surface, tough enough to traverse almost any terrain and stand up to the harshest weather conditions.
  2. With rechargeable with long-life battery - 2 way communications enables via 4G/5G connectively, cellular connectivity via SIM card - equipped with mic and speaker system for communications.
