Summary and Challenges Propose a novel approach to implement safety precaution with a view to further reduce the risk of working at height near the roadside, in particular, use of working platform may be impractical.
Expected Outcome
  • Provide reliable and safe anti-fall equipment for working at height near the roadside so as to perform traffic light maintenance duty.
  • The proposed system shall be operated within specification in general pavement condition, including but not limited to safety, easily install and assemble in practical manner.
  • Comply with the relevant law and ordinance.
  • The proposal and solution shall be applicable to use with ladder and working platform, with a view to improve occupational safety with no negative effect on the work efficiency.
  • Remarks: The proposer of the solution should submit an I&T solution proposal to EMSD on or before the closing date. It should include a preliminary design concept with block diagrams, operational instruction, specifications and budgetary ballpark cost estimate. EMSD may invite the proposer to conduct an on-site demo on their proposal.
